Lithuanian A Lyga Soccer League

| The A Lyga (English: The A League) is the top division of professional football in Lithuania. It is organized by LFF (Lithuanian: Lietuvos Futbolo Federacija, English: Lithuanian Football Federation). There were 8 teams in the 2009 competition. In 2010 LFF decided to increase the number of teams up to 11. The season kicks off in late March/early April every year; because of the harsh climate there are no games in the winter. |
